Conference on Rural-Urban Connections in Sub-Saharan Africa
From the 25th to the 28th January 2016,
University of Copenhagen and the RurbanAfrica project hosted the international conference ‘Rural-Urban connections in sub-Saharan Africa’, addressing the dynamic relationships between rural and urban transformations in sub-Saharan Africa.
The conference brought together researchers and research communities concerned with rural transformation, mobility and urbanization processes in sub-Saharan Africa, and sought to stimulate discussions and dialogues among researchers and political institutions through paper sessions, keynote talks and plenary discussions. It was a successful conference and a great week with many interesting sessions, discussions, questions and social events.
