Rural livelihoods, income diversification and mobility
This work package aims to explore the importance of multi-activity and multi-locality in households’ livelihood transformation and poverty dynamics. To this effect, four objectives can be identified:

1. To understand the causes and patterns of human mobility between rural and
   urban areas.
2. To understand the processes of livelihood transformation of rural-based households.
3. To assess the impact of mobility on poverty reduction and local development in rural areas.
4. Based on the outcomes of (1), (2) and (3), to specify policy implications for
   socioeconomic development in rural areas
